This would be the best course of action, but beware, you should contact the people in a timely manner. Likewise if they don't respond in a timely manner, or it seems that they are dragging their feet, do something about it. Time is a major factor as many people choose to "forget" when they fuck up and have to pay to right a wrong. Also, get the car fixed by a reputable mechanic next time. As much as I hate to say it, dealerships aren't always a bad option if you're looking for someone that has any previous Z experience.
